We offer truly great Eastern turkey hunting on over 2 square miles of private, uncrowded, hardwood ridge tops mixed with small crop fields. A typical day will find you hearing 5-10 different gobblers which weigh from 22-25 pounds and sport 10-12 inch beards. The Illinois turkey season runs from mid April to mid May. Permits must be applied for, in the mail, in December. Once you book with us, we will do the administration work to get your permits for you. The permits cost is roughly $150 and entitles the holder to bag 1 gobbler. Our hunting hours are 30 minutes before sunrise to 1 pm. In the afternoon our guests enjoy morel hunting, bass fishing, or simply relaxing in our first class lodge (no extra charge for any of these activities). We offer unguided hunts for $400 per day/night, with a minimum of 4 hunters (i.e. we will charge you for 4 hunters whether 1-4 show up) and a maximum of 8 hunters. If you desire the services of a guide, they are available for $100 per day. We can also film your hunt and send the tape home with you for a nominal charge. Non hunting guests are welcome and are charged $200 per day. A typical hunt is as follows:
